I had a picture I wanted to use for an LJ icon, which has a 100x100 pixel limit. Cropping the extraneous parts was easy enough, but I couldn't figure out how to re-size the larger image down to 100x100. The menu marked resize never gave me a pixel option, and never affected the image as it appeared on the screen - I suspect it was only referring to the printed image.
I finally went back to the copy of Photoshop 5 LE that I still have, and resized it in approximately 3 seconds.
In any case, was this a case of the 3am stupids? Or is what I'm trying to do either not possible in Elements - or just hidden well?

Let me see what I can find. -

Re: Stupid Elements question (I think)
Mon, July 14, 2008 - 7:21 PMOk in Elements crop tool can't you just type in 100 pix for both width & height?
pix opposed to typing in for inches.
Also isn't there a custom option for cropping where you can type the exact size you want?
And my guess is if you made your image proportional like W 4" x H 4"
you could go to your Image Size dialog and change it to 100 pix X 100 pix no problem? -

Wed, July 23, 2008 - 11:24 AMGo to image - resize... if your scale is in inches change it to pixels. lock the the two boxes to maintain scale.
