justifying text

Argh...
I want to justify text on both left and right, but the paragraph tab doesn't allow me to click on that button.
Am I missing something?
I appreciate any help. :)

    you probably need to put your text into a text box if you haven't already.
    click and hold with the type tool selected to create a text box.

    the justify buttons should be activated.
