Working with Layers - Aligning, Cropping

topic posted Wed, September 19, 2007 - 1:31 PM by  Xeena
I'm laying out a book/album in PS (ok maybe not the best tool but it's what I'm using) and am encountering some questions:

1. How do I select multiple layers and align them? I can see the icons in my toolbar to align but I don't know how.
2. How can I crop a layer without cropping the entire image? It seems if I select the layer and use the Crop tool, it crops all the layers, not just my selected layer.

Thanks!

Shift-click or command-click to select the layers. Command A to select the entire workspace, then select the move tool and align horiz/vert/center...

Drag a marquee around the part you want to keep. Select>Inverse and Delete.
