    <summary type="html">If you can't affort Photoshop, try downloading Gimp from the internet.  It's not as powerful, but for basic needs it is pretty good, and free.  Don't be put off by the superior types on these photo tribes, sometimes basic products are just fine.</summary>

    <summary type="html">True, but it's probably the most powerful piece of software you'll ever use.&#xD;
&#xD;
If full-on Photoshop is too expensive for you, it's probably also more power than you need.  Photoshop Elements is pretty affordable, and still very powerful.</summary>

Still... hope springs &amp;amp; all that.  And CS&amp;amp;lt;current&gt; is always so !%$# expensive... even the student discount ain't all that cheap.&#xD;

You might look at ebay or Craigslist to see if someone else traded Mac for PC and is selling their old copy or something like that. And you can enroll for a single class at a bunch of schools for about $22 or so. That would make you a student and give you student discounts.</summary>

I do a little photography on the side, definitely not my full time gig and want to get into it some more. I just maxed out my credit card getting a new Mac Pro and really can't afford to pay for the latest version of Photoshop. I have been a photo student up till now but am not currently enrolled so I can't get a discount.&#xD;
Does anyone have a copy that I could "borrow" ?</summary>
