OK, I've got photoshop now, and am looking for the "best" book from a photographer's point of view. There's a lot of reviews on Amazon, but it seems like nearly all of the books are very good. The only one I have right now is "Skin" by Lee Varis and it certainly seems to be full of good information and well worth going through page by page. I ordered and received Photoshop CS2 for photographers by Scott Kirby, but is was missing the introduction -- publishing error, the pages were simply not bound in. I looked through it before I sent it back, and while it also seemed to have a lot of good information and detailed techniques, I wasn't too thrilled that the word count was upped by somewhat out of place humor a bit too often for my taste.
Perhaps the best thing to do is work through the one I have?

Re: best book?
Sun, October 7, 2007 - 5:45 AMI'm still using Photoshop 5.0 (I know, I know - I'm very far behind the times here), but I used The Photoshop Bible, and found it to be an excellent resource. If there's an edition for your version, I'd highly recommend it. If you don't have the very latest version, you'll probably have to find it on eBay or Amazon.
