We recently upgrades to Photoshop (Extended) CS3 and are running OSX 10.5.2. In both binary and jpeg encoded modes to an HP Laserjet (methinks a 4050N) we get a continuous stream of blank pages (an occasional one will have 6-8 zapf dingbat-looking characters at the top). Our not-so-helpful IT department chose this as the solution:
gimp-print.sourceforge.net/
now it prints, but looks like some dot-matrix printer from the 80's.
Have any of you encountered this problem and found a different successful workaround?

Sat, April 5, 2008 - 1:45 PMFirst question- does anything else print? (From Word, Text Edit, Preview)
Second - Have you downloaded the latest HP drivers for your printer? -

Re: Printer issues
Sat, April 5, 2008 - 5:01 PMQ1: Yes, other text-based apps print, not problem. As I recall, we did try to print from Preview and the same error occurred.
Q2: To my knowledge IT did. WE have people using OSX 10.5.1 no problem. 10.5.2 seems to be part of the key. -

Re: Printer issues
Tue, April 22, 2008 - 4:36 PMSo we just got NEW Ricoh printers and are having the EXACT SAME problem! Apparently CS3 and HP printers do not get along well under OSX 10.5.2. IT seems to be a well documented problem, do any of you have a solution to share?
