I have a MacBook Pro with a 250 gig drive. Should I create a second partition on it to use for a swap drive or will it not matter since they are on the same physical disk? Any other tips for improving PS performance on this?
Thanks

Re: 1 HD - create another partition or not?

You're correct, partitioning one physical drive into 2 logical drives will not do anything for performance. There is an advantage to creating a 20-30gb primary partition for your OS and apps and the rest for data. If something happens where you need to reinstall your OS and apps, all your data will still be on the second partition. Also, if you should happen to fill the data partition, you won't bring the machine to a crawl for lack of swap space.
